Planning with The Commons 1854 was awesome. Their team made every detail feel important. Even the small ones. Thank you to Paige and the team for making our night one for the books.

The food was absolutely incredible — our guests are STILL talking about the filet. The coordinators made everything feel effortless. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

What We Hear From Brides & Their Families

Why Did You Come to Us?

Real answers from real brides and their families who booked The Commons after attending weddings elsewhere.

Every venue has its beauty. We simply offer transparency — and five uninterrupted hours of climate-controlled celebration where no one misses a thing.
Tent Wedding
What happened?
The water came through the seams. It ran across the ground and right to our feet. They threw wooden pallets down with plywood — big deal, we still got mud all over us and got soaked.
Tent Wedding
What about the heat?
It was so muggy. The humidity destroyed my hair in an hour. Makeup was running. The clear tent was like being wrapped in Saran wrap — you just bake. Even with fans, it was a convection oven.
Tent Wedding
Restrooms?
Portable toilets in the dark. In heels. In the rain. That was the moment I said — I am not doing this for my wedding.
Barn Wedding
What was the issue?
Charming until the wind shifted. Suddenly every guest could smell the farm. No attached bathrooms. Dusty ceilings. Bugs everywhere in the summer.
Barn Wedding
Guests?
Scattered across the property. Half of them missed the toasts. Kids running off. Groomsmen across the road. The bigger the property, the bigger the problem.
Barn Wedding
The food?
Outside caterers unfamiliar with the space. Circuit breakers popping. Food came late. No backup. When something went wrong, nobody knew what to do.
Waterfront
Sounds beautiful though?
Gorgeous — until sunset. Sand fleas came out and bit our ankles and arms. Little gnats in your hair, your drink, your food.
Waterfront
The wind?
Shredded the veils, knocked over centerpieces, tablecloths flying. The bride was in tears holding her dress down.
Waterfront
Guests?
Wandered off. Missed dinner, missed toasts, missed the first dance. You can not keep people contained on a big open waterfront. Half the wedding party was somewhere else.
